Shiny - Thematic Photography

You would think a crab is an unlikely animal to qualify for Carmi's theme of shiny. However take a look at this.

Crab Nebula
By Hubble Space Telescope - NASA

Hubble may have given us a chance to span the heavens but back on Earth it's just a bridge that spans a river which qualifies as shiny.
Infinity Bridge - Stockton-on-Tees.
This shot and another view which would also fit the 'shiny' theme appeared back in January 2011 under  curves

Oh Hubble. It's given us a look into space, and should help us all understand just how small and precious and rare our little dirt ball is.

That nebula is great! So is Stockton-on-Tees Bridge! They do know how to build bridges up in the NE!

The nebula is great, but that bridge is awesome.

That bridge is pure art. I love its human scale: you can walk right up to it, touch it, experience it slowly. There's a pedestrian bridge not far from my house that has an interesting truss-like span: you've inspired me to take a walk there this weekend. Thanks!
