Sunday Stamps - Children: USA, Great Britain

In 2001 a series of 4 stamps were issued for the New Millennium, Rights of The Child in the form of face paintings.

Great Britain - 16 January 2001

If you stretch 'Youth' to mean children then the centenary of the ELKS organisation will fit the theme.

Sunday Stamps - Deep Blue Sea: Greece, Malaysia

This theme proved more difficult than I expected if only to avoid stamps shown before.

Greece - 28 June 1969

Ship were the subject of the series but there is no missing that blue sea.

In Malaysia it was islands and beaches that caught my eye with a least an under water view in this case.

Malaysia - 17 November 2016

For more the deep blue just dip into the links at swimmers on Sunday Stamps.

Sunday Stamps - Different Fonts/Scripts: Iceland

When in Norway I found out about various sagas. I heard of some from Iceland but never saw or read any. And this week's stamps have set me off looking for what they were.

Iceland - 1 October 1953

Iceland - 20 March 1970

It looks like a long job to identify what they are.

A-Z Challenge 2021 - Theme Reveal - Photo Shots

I've decided to raid my photo archive for this year's challenge as it's easier that writing a post each day.

It's probable that dogs, birds and holiday locations will figure more that once.

For now you will just have to contain you excitement with this.

Sunday Stamps - World Heritage Sites : Canada

I have three stamps issued on 31 March 2014 showing some of Canada's World Heritage Sites.

I have enlarged them as they are some of the smallest stamps I've seen.

Gros Morne National Park (Newfoundland & Labrador)

Nahanni National Park (North West Territory)

Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks (Alberta & British Columbia)

I presume the dotted lines on these are some form of franking - a petty to spoil the stamps this way.
