youngest child of Queen Victoria who edited the journals and diaries of Queen Victoria after her death.
From her marriage in 1885 until 1917 she was known as Princess Henry of
Battenberg.

There is no link to Victoria or the Royal Family in my next picture, it's from just over a hundred years after the wedding of Victoria and Albert.

It reminds me that it is our wedding anniversary next week. I wonder what happened to that hair!
Princess Beatrice's full name was Beatrice Mary Victoria Feodore. The present Princess Beatrice of York is Beatrice Elizabeth Mary and she is not married yet,

Beautiful moments! Not sure the history of the couples since they married but I pray their love endured. Couples always look so happy on their wedding day.
Wedding pix are always nice to see.
I must say that the only unmarried princess shown here, looks very happy as well :)
Bob, with regard to your remark about my word verification, if all is well it has been switched off now. Thanks for drawing my attention to that wretched tool!
You were definitely a prince among princesses! Happy Anniversary (a week early)!
How totally fun, and sharing photos of weddings I'd probably never ever see!
Bob, Very elaborate and ostentatious wedding dresses in Victorian times. A different world from the one Dickens tells his stories; Your photo cutting the cake looks nice. In Switzerland this custom of cutting the cake and saving a piece of it never existed in SWL, I do not know if they follow this custom now...globalisation has turned the world around.
Happy Anniversary Bob and Mrs Bob! A lovely celebration of weddings over the years.
Royal weddings look like a fairy tale, so beautiful. May they live happily for ever after.
The photo of Victoria is quite beautiful! I've never seen it before.
What a lovely photo of you and your beautiful bride! Happy Anniversary to the two of you!
Happy early Anniversary!
Princess Henry of Battenberg sounds like a name invented by Roald Dahl, but she is wearing a very pretty dress. Happy anniversary to you both.
Lovely series of photos, Bob, and happy anniversary to you both. Jo :-)
You and your bride look every bit as royal as the ones surrounding you.
Congrats on your anniversary.
Nancy
Early Happy Anniversary wishes to you and your bride. Enjoyed seeing your wedding photo and the royals wedding pics. Nice post!
Some splendid links there - I wonder what the collective noun for royal weddings is - a coronet of weddings, perhaps.
And as we heard - "Every wedding is a royal wedding." I agree!
A very fitting royal mix on the theme, Bob. And my very best wishes to you both on a special day.
Of them all, the one of you and your lovely bride was my favorite! Happy Anniversary, Bob.

This post must be a crowd pleaser, what with people's fascination with royals and their weddings, and ending with the fascinators worn by said royals...
;)~
