Water and Conservation - Sunday Stamps

This week's theme is 'water.' There are many ways to interpret this but the stamps I've chosen have a message to go with them.

USA - Save our water
Sweden - Nature Conservation Year 1970
Iceland - Geothermal steam and valve
Great Britain - Millennium - Right to health.
There is no Linky list on Viridian's Postcard Blog so far today so I will give the Sunday Stamps link that takes you to her blog and through which you may be able to find others who have contibuted today at least some of whom are:

Sheila at apostcardaday ; Lisa at lisasoldstuff and Violetsky at violetsky

A lovely variety of countries and designs for this week's theme. I haven't seen any of these before, I even missed the GB one.

Great finds!
Stamps are great carriers of messages such as nature conservation.

All three are striking in their own way but the Millenium one gets the message across most strongly.

We seem to have had the same thought about saving water on stamps, there are a surprising number of them. Great scenery on the Swedish and Iceland ones.

Hi Bob .. hadn't seen the tap stamp .. great photo! Save water - an essential to us all ..

Health and Safety down here .. or'Elf and Safti' ... well we had plenty of fireworks and Lewes went ahead .. just heard only 30,000 attended this year - compared to 60,000 last year - let alone participants etc ... and the police said it was relatively quiet and peaceful.

I'll keep an ear open re the sparklers not being allowed at Roundtable events ..

Cheers Hilary

Thanks for adding my link and I apologise for being so late to visit. It's something of a difficult time for me at the moment.
