I have trouble judging whether something is grey or not, so you may find my photos vary in interpretation.

However there is a definite bluish shade of grey in the feathers of this Wood Pigeon nesting in our garden hedge.

I'm envious of your tractor, no wait, I have my own, and enjoy every moment (mine just turned over to 375 hours last night!) I agree with you on judging is it grey or not? It seems grey is that color (to me) that it can appear grey even with barely any real true grey colors. Grey is of many depths! I think your Detroit shot is my favorite though, life on the greyish side!
The cobweb totally qualifies, Bob! I almost walked into a hanging one as I walked the dog last night, so I'm totally with you on that one.
Funny you mentioned blue: I often find grey light trends to blue as the light fades. I know there's a scientific optical reason for it, but I'm just as content to appreciate it for what it is: magic.

Lovely photos, my favourite is the pigeon (grey with some blue...)
I really like the first one, with barnacles, the best...agree about that book, have not read it and will not. I also like the trees reflected in the pond in the last shot.

Take it back, the old Fordsons were gray. The similar Fords were gray with red or blue striping.

The first is my favourite because of that little splash of seaweed which contrats so nicely with....the grey!
Great collection of Gray shots you have given us. And, yes they were all grey in my book.
That spider web is amazing and I have not seen a gray mower in eons. They all seem to be red these days.
