Australia and New Zealand - Sunday Stamps

As I have no stamps from Antarctica nor the British stamp depicting Captain Scott I have  settled for showing my stamps from Australia and New Zealand. You may have seen some of them before.

Australia was an appropriate choice this week as it marks the end of the Queen's 16th tour and the proposed change in succession so that first born girls can become Queen in their turn.
Australia
I've always liked the first one with the kangaroo on the map.

New Zealand
There's a bit of snow on the mountains here even if there are no Antarctic scenes. The Kiwis will have to settle for winning the recent Rugby World Cup.

To celebrate other stamps you need to visit Viridian's Sunday Stamps 42

From the Australian selection, I remember seeing the 3rd one down on the left. I like the train stamp out of the New Zealand ones, a good variety as always :)

I think there is not one stamp in this selection that I have seen before. Great collection!

I especially like the first one with the kangaroo on the map too.

I don't believe I recognise any of these either. I love the kiwi shaped stamp. I'm sure it's rare to fins a used one in full possession of its beak.

Bob, A lovely selection of stamps. I think that I have just posted the Kaola stamp that matches the Kangaroo one you posted. Like Shelia I love the Kiwi shaped stamp!

I like the idea of the NZ scenic walks series. Australia produces some lovely nature stamps.

Is that a crown-green bowler I spy on the green New Zealand stamp?

Hi Bob .. I love these stamp posts - they just teach us so much history and your selections are really good .. perhaps Commonwealth Games diving .. and the cross one .. can't quite fathom that one .. so good to look at - New Zealand stamps reflect much too .. cheers Hilary
