Alan's picture prompt of the Infanta
Beatriz relates to Spain where he is on holiday. I didn't think my holiday snaps from Spain or the Canary Islands were quite right for this theme. However I did convert to sepia this photo of a young girl who for the purposes of this post shall remain nameless - she knows who she is. And at least it was a sunny day although not in Spain.

Then I came across these shots, not old by any means but I cannot date the subject matter.

Perhaps Little Nell will put a name to this volcano for me.

The picture of the little girl at the top is absolutely priceless Bob. Circa 1960 I'm thinking... your photography is always wonderful and I enjoy it a lot. Many thanks!
Your pics always fill me with envy, Bob. I wish my snaps of Tenerife were as good.
As always cool pictures.
Bob, this is an ‘in-joke’ I know, because of course I have been to Lanzarote! I asked Caminante if he knew, as he is the one with the Lanzarote on Foot blog and his knowledge of volcanoes is far better than mine. He thinks they are taken looking down on the subjects and probably therefore from a coach. In which case they would be from Timanfya, not all of whose volcanoes are named. When you live here you tend not to think of them as lunar landscape so much as ‘our back garden’.
The little girl is delightful; is she curling her toes out of shyness?
Everyone should read Nell's comment - Caminante is brilliant. The pictures were taken from a coach. Timanfya was the name I couldn't remember.
What a cute little girl, is she still as shy as she seems in the picture? Great photos of the volcanoes too!!
Great beach scene and great landscapes.
What a little cutie in the bathing suit...
That darling girl is adorable.
Nell's comment, as always, adds to the post.
The little girl reminds me of myself. I used to have bangs like that.
Two things I wouldn't expect in a photo blog - a pretty girl and extinct volcanoes!
Great bathing costume - methinks the shyness is but skin deep?
Cute pose of someone who knows who she is, but does she know she is featured? Good grief, following, how it leaped to the volcanoes and places I know not where is an accomplishment of rambling for sure!
Will she forgive you, I wonder? :) The volcanoes are a wonderful sight.
Lovely photos, and the little dear young lady looks so happy and should win an award for best swimming suit ever! Great TP post!
The lunar landscape doesn't fit the popular image of Spain; having said that, I've never been!
Lovely picture of the little girl; I'd guess mid-sixties, but it's only a guess!
Good guess, Martin. I suppose I should have said in my post that Lanzarote in the Canary Islands belongs to Spain.
Ok, really Daddy?! At least my eyes are open in this one (a rarity, unfortunately). I do love the Lanzarote pictures, however. Miss you Daddy xxx
I had a swimsuit just like Rachel's, but not much opportunity to wear it in our Scottish climate :-) Lanzarote was a fave hol destination of my mum, the sun-worshipper, although I've only been to Tenerife. Interesting landscapes though :-) Jo
mystery solved!!
the lady is revealed!!
but how could a father do this?...
nice pic!!
the Lanzarote pics are a revelation for me. i didn't know it looked like that over there.
:)~

Such a shy little miss in polka dots. Definitely a princess.
The volcano shots are fascinating. Almost look like pyramids in the background.
What a doll!
