Where to begin? There could only be one place:
Start Point |
The fish did not cooperate as many were from landlocked countries- those I ignored so my first stop was here with some colourful types:
Yemen |
Moving onwards my next stop was in the east of the Indian continent.
Bangladesh |
My last stop before landfall was at a Commonwealth island.
Singapore |
Finally I reached Australia's shores at
Broken Bay - Australia. |

Lovely stamps Bob ... fish make such a good subject matter.
Hi Bob - the stamps are fascinating .. I used to love mine as a younster. Love the names and selections you've chosen - thanks .. Hilary
Start Point was a good place to start.
That is definitely the way to travel to Australia. Loved the journey through stamps.
Some really interesting stamps. I have a particular fondness for the Australian set. I don't recall the UK set - do you recall when that one was released?
Not much of content but you are indeed including interesting images.
Start Point was one of a set of six stamps covering South West England issued 8 February 2005
Bob: Love your site. I am now your newest follower.
thats quite a lot of stamps, covering many of the potential themes for today.
I dont really collect fish stamps but the Yemen ones are amazing! So vibrant!
however, as fond of lighthouses, the Start Point is my absolute favourite :)
Thanks for the details Bob of the Start Point set.
The whole of the south-west England set (I have looked it up since first reading your post) passed me by yet again. I need to be more observant.
Like for the Australia Broken Bay stamp. I shared a few colorful marine animals in my page too. Feel free to drop by when you have the time :)

I am late in commenting b/c of a huge windstorm here. I was without electricity (and no internet!) for 36 hours. Love the Start point and the Aussie one.
