Shooting strangers from afar - Thematic Photography

If you live in a village as small as mine it's often difficult to find a stranger at all. However just when I was about to give up I came across an ideal opportunity.

I thought it rather odd to see a car in this country lane that leads to nowhere but some farms. When I checked the car's registration I found that it had originated over 250 miles away, in Chelmsford, Essex.

I guess the stranger just wandered into my next shot of a fire practice on the River Tees.

We went to watch our grandson in a surfing contest at Saltburn last October. There were strangers by the score -

On the pier
and -

On the beach
Even two of the surfers were strangers to me.

Shame the surf was so poor.
For more strangers unaware they are in the camera's eye head over to Carmi's Thematic-Photographic-306.

Strangers in our midst - Thematic Photography

On a day trip to Whitby in Yorkshire, North East England you are bound to meet many people who are strangers to you.

For pier aficionados there are hundreds at one time.

Should you climb the 199 steps to see Whitby Abbey of Dracula fame you will find other strangers following you.

Strangers on the way up.
And if you look closely in the background you can see more on their way along the pier.

At the Abbey entrance we can only see a stranger's legs and two legs on

Strangers - Thematic Photography

I've searched my files for strangers that I have taken, some deliberately some by accident.

These gentlemen were on they way to be the platform  at the Thomas Cooley Law School graduation in 2010 at Lansing, Michigan. I liked the different colours of their gowns.

Still in Michigan I came across mounted police in a park beside the Paint Creek Trail in Rochester. Their face shields have protected their anonymity.

The horses were glad of the drink.
