People at Work - Sunday Stamps II

On 21 July 1969 Poland commemorated the 25 anniversary of the establishment of the Polish Peoples Republic with a set of stamps showing people at work.

The industries represented are (from the top)
  • Coal production
  • Shipbuilding
  • Sulphur production
  • Steel production
To see other workers or a May Day theme check the links at Sunday-Stamps-ii-72.

Nice vibrant stamps. I don't think I've seen a stamp featuring sulphur production before.

Fascinating stamps. I am left wondering about the significance of the bars down the middle of the stamps (rivets on the ship building one).

Nice set.
I was wondering about those bars - and rivets - too.
I also find it interesting that the font is different on each stamp.

Beautiful stamps, both photos and design, and also I like the different fonts on each stamp.
