Homemade - Thematic Photography

As I am not much of a handyman it's difficult for me to show anything I've made myself. Because it's getting close to Christmas it's time for my wife to show her skills - I'm sure that they will match those from previous years.

Homemade Christmas Cake - 2013
This year's cake will not be iced for some time yet, but I can smell the spirits which are used to soak it and keep it moist.

Mince pies will also feature on the menu as they did in 2002 (as they do every year)

Mince pies and a mincemeat tart
Homemade, they are always better than those you buy.

I buy mince tarts from a local Mennonite restaurant - they are delicious. I haven't made mince pies in years. Nor a cake, hubby doesn't eat it so it would all go down one person. How come you have started using Captcha?

I hadn't introduced Captcha but if you came across this then I found the same happening on another site that was Captcha free - will correct it,

I bet that is a fruit cake. I have never seen them with frosting on them but I bet it is good.

I certainly do adore the look of that first cake. The frosting looks so delicious too! Homemade is usually so much better!

Gilly - it must be the baking tin and the pastry cutter. But what would I know?
