Australian Wildlife - Sunday Stamps

I'll admit I took an easy option this week when I saw this set on the local market coin and stamp stall. Not bad for £1.

It's difficult to pick a favourite from these.

Check out other selections on an open theme at Viridian's postcard blog

Australia consistently produces wonderful fauna stamps, they have such fascinating animals. Don't think I have seen a possum on a stamp before.

And not a kangaroo in sight! You are right that it's difficult to choose a favourite.

Hi Bob .. I don't know what they all are .. especially the first one .. but Pelicans or probably the Kookaburra - as I couldn't spell it - but Wiki confirmed it for me. Now I've learnt something ..

Cheers - Hilary

That's a pretty set with a nice simple design. It must be fun having a local market with a stamp stall.

Yes, it is hard to pick a favorite of this group, they are all delightful! You have the best taste in stamps you post for us!

These are good looking stamps, especially the pink cockatoo; I'd love to see one of those animals.

Lovely! And you are lucky to have a local stamp merchant. Who must be happy there is Sunday Stamps! Thanks for participating.

I am rather fond of the kookaburra myself.

These stamps are absolutely beautiful. The layout is clean and simple and to them point so the images can take center stage. Great choices!

They are definitely Australian even thought they did label them. Neat stamps.
