China - Sunday Stamps

These Chinese stamps date from 1962/1963. The centre stamp is postmarked PEK (Peking?) - when did we start calling it Beijing?

I have other Chinese stamps but I like these three in particular.

Hello Bob! These are nice Chinese stamps, I especially like the first two.
By the way, there is ouzo in the FDC that I featured in this week's Sunday Stamps :) Will post the answers next week. Thanks for visiting my blog earlier.

I have a small collection of Chinese stamps too. Nice selection, they produce lovely stamps.

These must be quite old because I seem to recall that China changed the spelling way back in about 1950 but that it wasn't until the 1980s that they made other countries do the same. Since the stamps will have been postmarked in China, I'd assume they date from some time before 1950, or thereabouts.

I like the first one best because it actually looks like a miniature work of art.

Sheila, I had to get a magnifying glass out. The dates at the bottom right hand of each stamp appear to be 1962 and 1963.
