Sunday Stamps from Mexico

I've recently discovered Sunday Stamps on Viridian's Postcard blog and thought it was time I contributed.

Back in the 1970s some friends of ours went to work in Mexico so I began to accumulate some stamps from there - no such thing as email then. On one trip home they gave me a present, a whole sheet of stamps showing cacti or succulents and dated 1977-1978.

That's a beautiful sheet. I noticed the cross and think those are actually Christmas seals.

I did not know there were that many succulents out there in the desert. Shows you how much there is to learn! Thank you for joining this meme - glad to see you.

I don't think I have ever received mail from Mexico. The stamps are great. I just posted a stamp from Swaziland on my Creative Zone post.

How awesome! I am a true desert creature - I love cacti more than any other plant.

Those are absolutely gorgeous! I am constantly fascinated by cacti - real ones, not the little things in pots that always seem to die on me.

Thanks for showcasing this sheet! Now I'm tempted to get it and find matching postcards, to create a set of maximum cards! :)
