Autumn -Thematic Photography

Carmi sets us an autumn theme each year and I can never attempt to match the colour of the trees in a North American fall.

The next day the leaves have gone but elsewhere there is fun a guy can have.

Fungi - not ice cream
A day later,  colours are obscured and sheep appear like ghosts out of the fog.

Although this is a post to link to Thematic-photographic-386-autumn later this week it will also link to Good-fences-136.

Ha ha! That fungi does (do?) look like ice cream - cookies and cream flavor, maybe!

And the foggy sheep - excellent. I love the lines that the fences make in that photo.

I love the sheep in the mist! And the colours are as beautiful in Great Britain, just different!

Nice shots, Bob!

I'm hoping to see some vivid colors in West Virginia this weekend.

I've seen some pretty stunning autumn colours in the UK Bob. Just depends where you are I suppose. I do like the sheep.

I've seen fungi similar to that - hard as iron when you touch it! And I love those sheep! Ours all have black faces though!

I seem to have lost three comments - Here they are.

Hooting Anni: Fog!!!! My ultimate favorite weather. What a perfect photo with the stillness that fog creates and the sheep behind the fence.

Ida: Had to laugh about the "not ice cream" on the trees.
Loved your fences and especially the one with the sheep in the fog.

Pauline W; Great fences and sheep in the fog shot! They do look a bit ghostly, don't they?

Thank you one and all.

Makes me want to go out and take some fall shots. We don't get the color in Georgia that I had in Michigan, but slowly but surely the leaves are changing. And the acorns are bombarding the roof like shoot.
