Bushes and Trees - Thematic Photography

I've a lot to choose from for this week's theme of bushes and trees. As this fellow is singing his heart out in my garden I thought he deserved pride of place - the tree is just the stage for him.

Image how old this beech tree must have been before it lost it's top. What's the message it is passing on?

How many points would you give out of 10 for this week of art?

For some a tree is an essential part of life.

You've seen Fountains Abbey on my blog before - it fits a tree theme too.

Coming closer to home, this is the St Mary Magdalene Church at Yarm.

Finally we are back to my garden for trees and bushes photographed in April 2004.

Some bushes are full of thorns and their appearance may be deceptive like this on my garden wall - the bush is next door.

You always include several of my favourites, one is Fountains Abbey. We live in a beautiful part of the world, and no rain today and the hedgerows, wild flower covered lanes, the trees with their spring green were so lovely to see.

Bob I'm saying 10 points for the tree! But the best yet is your photo of the dogs waiting in line...that is just the most adorable photo yet! I sure enjoyed your bushes and trees TP!

Lovely to see some Enhlish trees and bushes, when here I am surrounded by palm trees and bushes with spikey points that are lethal.

that's a great shot of that Beech tree, and I love the dogs in a row waiting to use the tree.

I love the picture of Fountains Abbey. Those dogs are quite cute too.

They are all wonderful photographs .... but I have to say that the dog one takes some beating.

It's an awesome tree, wonder what it looked like when it was whole.

P.S. Birdies around here get drunk on those Pyracantha berries in the winter. I have a video on youtube of a flock of robins staggering around in the street.

Hi Bob .. great mix of trees - I loe the pyracantha, such pretty orange berries at this time of year, and I love flowering quince - which is always lethal with thorns.

The tree - I'd rather the painting without the rather false branch on the ground ...

I gave you a shout out on my 2nd Reflections post .. castles were popular ..

Cheers Hilary

A great series of shots, Bob - too hard to pick a favourite. I'm laughing at the mental picture of thunder's flock of drunk robins staggering around!!
