The Web on Sunday Stamps

I'll confess that I've had to cheat a bit this week. I couldn't find computer related stamps in my collection and I had no idea about 'Zazzle' stamps. Then I found that there over 1300 issued stamps by different countries round the world.

So I settled for downloading an image of a stamp from 1969:

This commemorates Tim Berners-Lee's invention of the internet.

Without this invention we wouldn't be able to indulge in Viridian's Sunday Stamps

Later when rummaging through some old envelopes I came across this group of stamps:

I play Monopoly when I'm forced. I like the dogs the best. But I suppose that it's Balian & Busse that meet this week's theme. Perhaps Dorin will confirm whether this is a 'zazzle' stamp.

Balian & Busse are based at Rochester Hills, Michigan. My daughter is an Associate Attorney there.

The web stamp is such a clever design. Surprising what you find when rummaging, the animal rescue set is a nice one.

It looks like Balian and Busse are using stamps.com,which I didn't include in my post, but the idea is the same. Note the pattern of black and white squares.
And that is a great stamp at the top!

That is a good use of a custom stamp.

I tried leaving you a comment last night, for some reason it wouldn't take it....nowhere on blogger, FB yes....but these are delightful, of course anything with dogs is top notch, but that first one is very cool...I had the chance now to check out what Zazzle stamps were, I wondered if dazzle came into the picture...I like stamps too, and have saved a few here and there...but not much...so I find your Sunday posts quite interesting!

When I was a child, I collected stamps. My family kept all the stamps from the letters they received and my dad took me to a shop where you could buy little bags of stamps from all around the world. Needless to say, I had an album bulging with stamps. I was fascinated by all the different designs, and it was my ambition to get my hands on a Penny Black. I never did manage that and I haven't a clue what happened to the album. These are brilliant, I really like the Monopoly stamp. Thanks for reminding me about a happy childhood hobby.

Tim Berners Lee is at the University in Southampton - my only claim to fame was that I used to work there too. No longer, but I did enjoy my years there.
