Water - Thematic Photography

These days I regard water as something for washing in, but after 24 hours of rain earlier in the week there was a lot of standing water about.

The field in which I expect to see spring lambs
And in the woods the rabbits and squirrels don't have to go far to get a drink.

If it's obstacles you are looking for then house developers have much to look forward to when they start building yet more houses on sodden fields.

A week earlier water had turned to ice.

But for a grandson who is a keen surfer, what's better than watery waves.

Fenced In - Good Fences 41

I've dug out some more fences from my archives this week.

If you look closely you may be able to see someone sitting, fenced in, on the veranda.

You don't need iron bars to create a 'prison'.

All three dogs have crossed the Rainbow Bridge since this photo was taken, so hopefully they no longer feel fenced in.

The local prison that I pass most days of the week has an iron fence alongside the road. Sometimes it can look quite attractive when the road has been wet.

So far this winter there has been no snow so all you can see is the plain iron fence.

Frozen - Thematic Photography

It seems strange in Spring to hark back to frozen times but with her curly coat Pippa is well protected against the snow and ice.

But for ice cubes and frozen fish there is only one place to go.

Cody just knows that if he waits, and there are no other dogs around, that he will get the end of the cone..
