The Grass is Greener

At least this horse thought it was greener the other side of the fence.

It soon realised that by turning its neck sideways it could reach that uncut greener stuff, especially now that the council has paused cutting the roadside verges.

In some places however you have to wonder what is going on.

This looks as if someone got too busy with a weedkiller.

Elsewhere blackthorn bushes have been massacred.

Which has robbed us of displays like this.

Nevertheless uncut verges have produced some pale blue wildflowers, now a shade of pink, that I have not seen before - can anyone tell me what they are?

There is no mistaking, I'm pleased to say, the blossom on the tree at the bottom of our garden - so lovely at this time of year.
