Sunday Stamps - Architecture: Austria

Austria has issued a number of stamps featuring architectural monuments. However I have been unable so far to verify what the monuments are.

Austria - 30 August 1958
Austria - 1 February 1960
Other than that they are in Vienna and Salzburg the designers' names have got me no further - can anyone help?

Sunday Stamps  features more architecture for you to admire.

The first one features Rabenhof Building in Erdberg, Vienna.
The second one shows Residence Fountain in Salzburg. I found it was issued in 1962.

I hope that helps. I love these monochrome stamps.

Hi Bob - 'fraid not ... no idea and I don't have architectural references here ... take care during this time - all the best - Hilary

Nice classic stamps. I particularly like the view on the blue 70 stamps. Hope you're staying safe.

Austria definitive stamp series are always a treat.
The Vienna one is housing 'Rabenhof' and the other is Residenzplatz in Salzburg with its an ornate 17th century limestone fountain. Salzburg Cathedral is on one side of the square and
the carillon tower with 35 bells on the other side and a row of townhouses. Nice to have been prompted to go on a virtual travel tour of Salzburg at this time of lockdown.

Now I will go on my own virtual tour of Salzburg and Vienna! There is a skyline webcam I used to watch, but it is now too eerily empty of all people and activity for my liking.
