A high proportion of what I show each week are taken on my daily walk, so today will be no exception.
This winter/early spring has brought some strange things to our hedgerows.
That branch on the right has lost all its bark and is as white as snow.
However nothing can dim the colour of what could have appeared last week too.

Hawthorn branches covered in green lichen |
Not that the riding school horses in the field are concerned - they just appreciate the grass.
Another of my favourite subjects every year still stands proudly against the sky.
Dead ash tree |
Other trees make an arch for a distant copse.
My next shot is a bit of a disappointment as the sun distorted the shades of another dead tree,

Crocus - open to soak up the sun |
Waiting for the bees and insects to come along.

I've had my stroll, bicycle ride, and fast walk, with my dogs of multi-energy levels.
Hi Bob - it's a wonderful time of year ... so many changes and blissful to watch happen - love your choice of photos ... I thought the horses were two people bending down - hence bottoms! Then the crocuses ... they are so beautiful ... cheers Hilary
Beautiful trees - this is a walk I would really like to do. And the first harbingers of spring - lucky you!
Wonderful sights of Spring coming! The Ash tree is sad but makes for a majestic stand! You wondered where I am to get such miserable weather as we had at the beginning of this week, I am in Canada's capital and this winter, has had varying weather, lots of snow at Christmas, very, very cold in January but no snow, huge snow fall in February that quickly dissapeared with +0 weather and ice storms.! Yesterday was +10 celsius and this morning -10 celsius. And winds to beat the band!
Have a great weekend.
Looks a really good place for a walk, with plenty to see!
Spring can be so beautiful in the UK. Not much spring around here yet awhile though.
It looks like spring to me!
Very nice photos Bob!
