I'm not a great lover of cities but I would make an exception for Copenhagen shown in this week's prompt.
I've spent many hours there with some time in that selfsame square.
I've doctored this picture to remove the colours and to draw your attention to the pattern on the ground. I guess I must have stood close to where the three people on the right of the prompt photo were located.
No birds, no-one selling food for the pigeons and much more crowded in the 1980s.
I did find a bird feeding elsewhere on the way to Rosenborg Castle.
But like most visitors to Copenhagen I just had to send time admiring -

Perfect match apart from the pigeons! Looks like the Danish have done a better job of dissuading them than the English have in Trafalgar Square.

Great segway into enjoying the sculpture of the Little Mermaid. I'm also grateful that you had the connection for the city based on the design of the square's pavers.

The first thing I noticed in your photo was the pattern in the sidewalk and sure enough, you mentioned it! I also thought the awnings resembled those in the prompt photo. I wonder if this is the first time a Sepian has been in the same spot as the prompt photo.
That's amazing that you noticed the paving. I didn't until you pointed it out. My observation skills obviously need a bit of work. Well done. Fantastic!

The Little Mermaid photo inspired me to check if Hans Christian Andersen wrote a story about pigeons. Nothing specific but in THE FARM-YARD COCK AND THE WEATHER-COCK, the old weather cock says, "He admitted that the pigeons, large and white and shining like mother-o'-pearl, looked like a kind of weather-cock; but they were fat and stupid, and all their thoughts and endeavors were directed to filling themselves with food, and besides, they were tiresome things to converse with."
