Libya and USA se-tenant Sunday Stamps

I thought I had used all my se-tenant stamps before so I went to my favourite market stall this week where I found some Libyan stamps (the first I had seen).

Libya - Tokyo Olympics 1964
I like the way the Olympic rings are used across the block. By the way Libya did not win a medal that year.

I also discovered that what I thought was a strip of stamps was actual part of a se-tenant strip issued in April 1972 to commemorate the USA National Parks Centennial.

USA - Cape Hatteras National Seashore
For more se-tenant examples check out the links at Viridian's Sunday-Stamps-190.

Linking the stamps with the rings makes an interesting indea, I don't think I've ever seen any Libyan stamps for sale, quite a find. I like how you have shown the fishing scene which looks like an idyllic summer's day out and then add the other stamp and its gathering dark clouds, quite a wind behind those waves.

The Libyan stamps are nicely done. Interesting colours, too.

Cape Hatteras is near where we used to live in NC. We visited it once and the men climbed to the top but I only got to the second floor. Not sure what is meant by se-tenant but these are very attractive stamps.

Stamps worth 2c! Those centennial stamps are from the year before I was born - how amazing to have stamps that old!

I really like the interlinking of the stamps and the Olympic rings as well as the simplicity of design. The beach scene looks very like ours did today, with stormy clouds lining up to come ashore.
