It seems strange posting views on English beaches when I'm on holiday in Michigan but here's two I'll share.
The first was taken in 2008. You may say this is not an old photo, but as it was taken while we celebrated our golden wedding I think that makes it qualify.Doesn't my son look lonely paddling in the sea?

I live in Florida. I'm surrounded by beaches. Going to London in September for a vacation.
You must have been married very young! The Scillies are beautiful, what a lovely place to celebrate your Golden Wedding. There’s a new series of Coast on BBC and this week they were in the Scillies - all too briefly. Made me glad that we took the helicopter, and not the Scillonian, when we visited.

Suits on the beach - very appropriate.
I like the old beach photo. It reminds me of my early days on a beach. It must have been hard on the suit.

Oh I can imagine the next day of work he had sand in his trouser pockets. Let's hope he told the boss he was at the beach and didn't leave a telltale path of sand leading directly to his desk.
Never been to the Scilly Isles ... but it's on the list.
Welcome to our side of the earth. Michigan is a beautiful state with the great lakes giving you cool breezes and sea gulls.

Oh you are in MI so close....wish you could be in MN and visit us!!! I spent some summers at a camp on the shores of Lake MI and someday we will get there again....But what a photo dressed up and all!

These are both beautiful photos - very appropriate for Sepia Saturday. They both fill me with a longing for the beach.
