Sunday Stamps X4 - USSR, Great Britain

I had to be eXtra creative to find some stamps for the letter X. After eXploring all my albums I came up with just two.

USSR - 24 April1974

Expo 1974 was the first environmentally themed world's fair so the USSR's flora stamp could not have been more appropriate. Expo 1974 was held at Spokane in the USA.

The Emperor Dragonfly from Great Britain made it easily into this post.

Great Britain - 12 March 1985

With a Latin name of AnaX Imperator how could I leave it out.

Sunday Stamps 'S4' USSR, Sweden, South Africa

India and the Soviet Union signed a Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation in 1971. A stamp commemorated this friendship in 1976.

USSR - 8 September 1976

A ceiling painting from  Dädesjö church in Småland depicts St Stephen, the Stable Boy.

Sweden - 9 February 1970

South Africa  has many superb animal stamps. You could say that the Springbok is iconic too.
