I'm beginning to run short of flower stamps to show.
However I could not resist showing this block of four:
However I could not resist showing this block of four:
USA 5 October 1966 |
Cherry blossoms and the Jefferson Memorial - appropriate today as the National Cherry Blossom Festival runs from 18 March - April 16th this year.
Can I claim to be a wise old sage for hitting the dates for it?
At least I can show some:
USA 7 April 2011 |
To pick other flowers today inspect those at the links on Sunday-Stamps- II-118.

Hi Bob - we're getting the early blossoms now ... sage is a great herb isn't it ... love the stamps - cheers Hilary
It isn't the first time I read it, but I really like the slogan "Plant for a more beautiful America". Those stamps are beautiful, Bob.
The USA stamps block of 4 is lovely but I think I'm partial with that sage stamp! Very nice.
I can see why the 5c stamp was updated and reissued a few years ago.
I like the sage stamp as well - I think this was for the domestic postcard rate.
I have always wanted to see these blossoms in DC
But it is hard to time it exactly - and this year the sudden snow storm killed off quite a few of them.
Yes, fun to see your stamp post again. Enjoy your weekend, Bob.
The Cherry blossom stamps are lovely.
I would love to see the cherry blossoms, especially in Japan. The stamps are pretty, as is the sage.
