Commemorating the Queen - Sunday Stamps II

The 90th Birthday of the Queen was commemorated earlier this year with a mini-sheet showing four generations.

Great Britain
Charles, Prince of Wales, Queen Elizabeth, Prince George and William, the Duke of Cambridge in the White Drawing Room of Buckingham Palace.

A set of 6 stamps was issued at the same time (21 April 2016)

  • King George VI and the Princess Elizabeth
  • Queen Elizabeth II
  • The Queen and her first two children - Princess Anne and Prince Charles

  • QE II
  • The Queen and her husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh
  • The Queen and Nelson Mandela

There will not be a commemorative set like this again for many years.

Great stamps, and how amazing to have 4 generations together for a photo - not too many families can say that.

Hi Bob .. love that one of George ... while the Queen looks wonderful in them - but I'm so pleased you've included, and they made, one with her and Mandela ...

Great selections ... cheers Hilary

I always remember after the death of George VI there was a picture of three queens at his graveside, Mary, his mother, Elizabeth his wife and Elizabeth his daughter. That was considered a very unusual picture and unlikely ever to happen again.

These stamp pictures are great.
