Fruits and Nuts - Sunday Stamps II

I thought I might miss out this week being away from home with nothing to match the theme in either mine or my daughter's albums.

However a visit to a Michigan post office saved the day with these recent issues.

USA
I guess sweet corn is the odd one out except that we eat corn on the cob. I know there is a cob nut so I claim an association at least.

Beautiful stamps!

To me corn counts as 'fruit and/or nuts', too (even they are family of cereals/grasses)! BEcause they contain the seeds, the fruit of the plant.
That makes me always wondering why 'fruits' like tomatoes and cucumbers don't count as 'fruit', too, and are considered 'vegetables' instead.. :-)

A clever solution, Bob. They remind me of vintage railway posters.
