Bird of the Week

I intend to post some bird  photos each week - ideally one taken specially for the 'series'.

Here is one of my favourite birds.

Robin
Singing his heart out on a frosty morning.

Hi Bob - they are great singers ... I haven't heard the blackbirds yet - but maybe it's still too cold - though they are around.

I saw a very puffed up bright red one in a tree here .. singing his heart out yesterday when I came home - the sun was shining on him brightly .. cheered me up no end - I thought ah ha Spring is nearly here ..

Cheers Hilary

A lovely idea, Bob, to have a bird of the week slot. We have two Robins in our garden, one particularly active in terms of nest-building - so I'm hoping they are a pair. Thank you for your comment on my sparrowhawk.

I just adore them too, and they are the state bird of my old home state of Michigan!
