Edible - Thematic Photography

Although it's cold enough for a winter coat and there is a dusting of snow, thank goodness for something edible.

The grass not the horse!
"Nothing is more pleasant to the eye than green grass kept finely shorn."  - Francis Bacon (what an edible name!)

However I like to raid

The fruit bowl
even if somebody has beaten me to it.

It must have been someone needing the zest for life.

I'll just have to make do with bread and jam.

Lunch plate
I'm sure it's not a case of sour grapes.

That horse is beautiful and happy to nibble on yummy greens! Your first photo of the fruit bowl is a delicious capture, I had to take a second look, it appeared to me like a painting. Very nice edible collection Bob!

Bob, like the thought that went into the creation of the lunch plate. Thanks for sharing.

I thought for one awful moment you were going to have horse steaks!! Great shots, and I do love your fruit bowl!

I love, love, love your choice of the horse photos to start things off, Bob. I can always count on you to reflect a theme in a uniquely creative way. You've reminded me that winter will soon give way to spring, and when it does I'll be back on my bike, cruising to the nearby farms that encircle the city. Some days on my way home from work, I'll detour past them and hang out at the outer fence, just watching the horses graze. It's such a peaceful place to be!

For the record, that's the prettiest bread-and-ham plate I've ever seen. I can almost reach through the screen and taste it!
