1940s Trousers - Sepia Saturday

I couldn't find pinstripe trousers to match this week's prompt but thanks to Australia and my old pal creative commons I did find something else.


Three men, almost four, all in trousers and with two pairs of braces on view.

My post is short this week as I am at my daughter's in Michigan with three dogs waiting to play ball.

    Those chaps look very comfortable allowing that lady to access what needs to be mended.... Well that's how it looks I must say

    Welcome back to the states from an Iowan. I remember my dad's army uniform but they didn't put stripes on them. Wool is so very scratchy. It is an unusual photo that you found.

    She probably volunteered her time through Red Cross or YWCA or somesuch group and has the look of a mother determined that her son shouldn't step out of the house with a button loose.

    I always thought servicemen had to be handy with the needle themselves. Fancy having to line up to have a button sewn back on. Enjoy your holiday; I look forward to the wildlife pics.

    Loose suspenders? Not a good thing - you could lose an eye if one popped.
