As I am preparing to travel back to the UK later today I only have one picture for you today. This was taken through a double glazed window. The tree is 400 yards away; the birds are rooks.

There are several collective names for rooks. This photo may hit them all.
- Building - who put that scaffolding there"
- Parliament - a lot of hot air
- Clamour - you can hear them this far away.
- Story tellling - about the bird that got the worm.

Ah, I like those rooks - I always liked the name "Parliament" - those personally I think rooks are a lot more sensible than some in our own dear House of Commons!!!
ReplyDeleteI thought parliament was for owls. Have a good trip home.
ReplyDeleteThey do look like they could be standing around planning some new laws.
ReplyDeleteOr enjoying a little Rookery Nook!
ReplyDeleteDon't look now, but somebody's taking our picture.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, Bob, those birds aree up to something. I think here they are waiting for the coffee to brew before they start.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice trip.
