Flowers - Sunday Stamps

I've chosen stamps from Cameroun and Mongolia today for the 'Flowers' theme. I picked the Cameroun stamps because of their shape. The Mongolia stamp? Well I liked it.

Jacob's Ladder or Greek Valerian

Suggestions for future themes - birds, cars, planes, ships.

  1. Wow, amazing flower-on-stamps from Cameroon and Mongolia! Sadly, I have yet to get mine from these countries. Do you buy them from stamp collectors? I swap mine with others. I like your suggestions for future themes as well.

  4. Sreisaat, my stamp collection has been gathering dust since the 1980s. I have only bought a few stamps since then - UK only. Athing else these days comes on letters and cards. When I saw Viridian start the meme I just joined in. I've only bought the Ireland stamps I posted early from a stall on the local market.

Postcardy, Jacob's Ladder/Greek Valerian is the name of the plant on the Mongolian stamp (polemomium coeruleum).

Bz, thanks for the visit' Iam now following youe A-Z posts.

  5. Bob - I'm sure you have pleny, dust covered or not, for any theme I can think of. Thanks for the suggestions. One theme I want to do is stamps with different shapes - like triangles. Here you have triangles and flowers! and they are beautiful by the way.

  10. Great stamps from some unusual places. The language of flowers seems universal.
