I've always had a 'thing' for stuffed bears & still have smaller ones. When we moved, however, I had to give the bigger ones away - but to the younger grandchildren so that worked out. When I was young, we weren't allowed to have pets, so my brother & I had these little 3" tall bears with moveable 'arms' & legs which we pretended were real & made 'cages' for them out of cardboard boxes. Later, Mom let us have a couple of those wee little turtles and eventually a goldfish, & when Goldie jumped out of his/her (?) bowl & died, she let us have a parakeet. My own family did a little better with 2 dogs, 5 cats, 7 parakeets, a goldfish (also named Goldie), a white rat, & a hamster. I still have one of those little 3" bears with the moveable 'arms' & legs, though.
