One Thing - Thematic Photography

The theme I've chosen for my 'one thing' photos is that of wildlife. All these pictures are from Michigan, the first from an Oakwood swamp.
Great Blue Heron
Then, of course, there's Harry who visits a Deer Trail Lake.
Great Blue Heron
Meanwhile in Rochester there is just one collecting nuts.
Squirrel near the Paint Creek Trail
There is always one black 'sheep' in the family.
Black Squirrel (trying to get in on the act)
But they're mine, all mine!

To check out other 'one things' the only place to go is Carmi's thematic-photographic one.

We get egrets..Wish I had my camera ready because that was the one and only several years ago... Love your selections minus the squirrel.. I've learned they are such pigs when it comes to bird seed. lol

It's always my favorite thing Bob when you post photos from Michigan my birth state! Of course these are favorites critters as well...and the reflection of the egret is twice as cool!

Dude, that black squirrel looks tough! Don't mess with him.

I love all the other squirrels, though.

Great shots - do they have white herons in Michigan too? They are very rare here. I love the last shot - he really does look as if he's saying "They're mine!"

Oh, I love those photos! Our herons are officially grey, I think, but look much the same!

But the squirrels are wonderful - I didn't know you could have black squirrels - he is definitely a toughie!

I've never seen a black squirrel in my life until my friend Kat, a blogger from Canada posted some photos of "her" black squirrels. I didn't even know they existed. Then suddenly I saw one, just one here in Salem two months back. I was amazed.
Thanks for following my blog and adding me to your G+ circles. I've added you back. Is G+ catching on in the UK? I like it. It seems much "cleaner" than Facebook.
