Metallica - Thematic Photography

I'm not into heavy metal but have found some interesting photos for this week's theme.

It all starts with a WWII 'kiss' from my brother's war photos -
A Swordfish 'Kisses' a Taxi
This grating prevents you accessing a waterwheel.
Waterwheel at Fountains Abbey
Last week I showed a photo of Hope House for the triangular theme. A number of you commented on the viaduct dwarfing the house. This week I'll maintain the viaduct connection.
Blue Plague - Yarm Viaduct
One day I 'll post more about the viaduct but now I'll switch from a metal plaque to railings across the Atlantic in Michigan.

Awesome, as alays, of course my heart belongs to the Michigan photo, my old high school boyfriend lives not far from that very spot...what a life! The poor little taxi, ouch is an understatement! I am excited to see some of those other Michigan photos someday Bob!

Ticklebear; I'm ashamed to say I didn't know there was a band by that name.

Now, I do like that blue plaque, with all the facts embossed on it!

Not for posting but you don’t give your email so I am using the comment form. The Blue Plague picture had me guessing for a minute; I thought it was a variation on Black Death :)

As always, a great selection of intriguing shots, Bob!

@Little Nell; I know you said 'not for posting' but I have. There is plague of these blue plaques in Yarm and I am planning a post to show some more (or all) of them. A mistake in captioning on my part but I think I'll leave it now!

@Ticklebear; they just weren't around when I was young and they are too loud for me now! Still they are appropriate for the theme and Iron Maiden too,

Very nice trip through time with the different shapes and uses of metal. Love the last shot, but I'm a sucker for harbor shots!

Some great metallic pictures Bob. I don't think I have ever seen Yarm Viaduct, but your picture caused me to check it out on-line. And some time soon I will check in out for real. I have always been fond of viaducts - the cathedrals of the industrial age.

Alan, I shallbe posting more about Yarm viaduct shortly.
